Asset Overview

Serval Cat Sculpture created by [ThinkSee3D](https://sketchfab.com/thinksee3d) based on the [Fighting Cats Rock Art](https://skfb.ly/6qZDB) in Libya. The sculpture was made as a 3D print for handling collections, spefically for blind and partially-sighted visitors. The cats depicted in the Fighting Cats may be a serval, a type of African wild cat that would have existed in the Sahara during the African Humid Period (c. 11,000-5,200 BP), when the climate was wetter and greener with savanna-like conditions in the Sahara. Rock art in the Sahara depicts many animals now extinct this region of Africa, including elephants, rhinos, crocodiles, and giraffes, forming an extremely important record of climate change.
