Shell Fuze (Type 85)

One of the more unusual objects I have modelled, a collaberative effort with Lynne McKeggie - the fuze of a shell! It is a Type 85 timer fuze, manufactured by the Bethlehem Steel Company (BSC), USA. It is given as belonging to Lot 201, with a date of manufacture of 1915. The object was found in fields close to the Tarbat Discovery Centre at Portmahomack, and donated to the museum by local landowner Douglas Gordon.
