A teaching aid 3D file, to be printed and used for teaching the concept of ship lines. These are standardised lines used to design or record the curvature of a ship hull.
This model is a simple double-ended boat shape (of no particular vessel type), with raised edges representing the stations, buttock lines and sheer lines of a hull. This was made for use in teaching maritime archaeologists at Flinder University but has been made freely available for use and download here.
Some other great models of ship lines, mostly for use on Sketchfab can be found at the profile Digital in situ Preservation Archive (https://sketchfab.com/kotaro_yamafune) and are madde by Kotaro Yamafune.
