Asset Overview

North wall of the sandstone shrine of King Taharqa of the 25th Dynasty, Egypt. The shrine was originally located in Kawa, Nubia (Sudan). The shrine is now in the galleries of the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. This scene shows King Taharqa standing before the deities Nefertum-Horakhty and Sekhmet. The king is receiving life, power and stability from the god Nefertum-Horakhty. Scanned using 48 photographs (Canon EOS Rebel T5i, 18MP) and Agisoft Photoscan 1.4.3. Photographed in January 2018.
