Asset Overview

An array of cells in a normalized five directional system. Major cell is a Rhombic Icosahedron, a polar zonohedron. Minor cells are reduced by 1 or 2 directions to Rhombic Dodecahedron and Hexahedron. In this system, edge lines meet at 90° , and at Arc cos 1/φ= 51.827...° The same set of angles occur as dihedrals. This array fills space with fivefold symmetry about a single axis, and has five planes of reflection which intersect the axis. This model is built only with square facets, rhombic facets are left open. Made with vZome.
