Asset Overview

Limestone statue of Egyptian King Khasekhem of the Second Dynasty in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford University, England (Ashmoelean no. E517). The statue was recovered from Hierakonpolis and depicts the king in a long robe-like garment and wearing the White Crown of Upper Egypt. Between the king's feet is a small inscription giving the king's name written in a serekh. Carvings around the bottoms of the sides of the statue's base depicts vanquished foes of the king. Scanned using 97 photos (Canon EOS Rebel T5i, 18 MP) and Agisoft Photoscan 1.4.3. Photographs taken in January 2018.
