Asset Overview

Teemu Selänne began his NHL career with the Winnipeg Jets in 1992. In 1995 he moved to the Anaheim Ducks, where he played until 2001 and again from 2005 after intervening spells with the San Jose Sharks and the Colorado Avalanche. The away jersey used by the Anaheim hockey team from 1993 to 2006 carried the team logo: a duck mask and two crossed sticks. The duck logo was a product of the original owners of the team, The Walt Disney Company. The team was named after the movie The Mighty Ducks, distributed by Walt Disney Pictures in 1992. After ownership change the team was renamed as the Anaheim Ducks in 2006, and the logo was changed as well. Teemu Selänne wore this jersey, manufactured by Nike, in the away game against the Ottawa Senators on 5 March 1997. He scored two goals as the Ducks won the game 4–1. Selänne wrote his name, the year and his player number 8 on the right side of the team logo on the chest.
