Asset Overview

Beneath the surface, deep in the depths of our wounded earth is a cathedral of drowned caverns. Caverns formed by the persistent drips of acidic water over thousands of years. The network of aquatic caves formed slowly as stalactites and stalagmites. Infinitely ancient, the network wears a deep dark cloak of murky salt water. Its ancient limestone columns stand like tall zigarates, with bands of hardened sediment that hold secrets unknown. Its nearly crystalline forms overhang the ceiling. Sharp and seemingly waiting, like a spider waiting for a fly to fall into its trap. Endemic species live within the delicate cracks of these columns and within the cold stone walls. Their world is monochrome. Light is alien here, unknown and wholly forgotten. There is no need for eyes. The creatures here have lost them due to evolution's utilitarian rule.Their bodies are rigid and the color one would find in an aged polaroid picture of untouched snow. Protected by exoskeletons stinging cells and claws.
