Asset Overview
Seated kilted figure on a plinth with a rifle held across his knees, appears as though about to rise. Behind the figure is a 50 foot wall with a 25 foot sculpted bas relief frieze which depicts a pipe band leading a recruitment party, followed be miners, shepherds with sheep dog, fisherman with nets, clerks and children. The men march four deep at the front and the civilian party carry tools over their shoulders in the same pose as those with rifles.
