Asset Overview
This structure is a large ceremonial room at the ancient village now called Casa Malpais, near the Town of Springerville Arizona. The structure was probably built in the late thirteeth century as part of the western Pueblo tradition. Great Kivas such as these were present at most villages in the Mogollon highlands during this period of time.
This village is open for guided tours, check in with the Casa Malpais Musuem at the Springerville Hertiage Center, 418 E Main St, Springervile, AZ.
