Asset Overview

Relief scene of the punishment of individuals on the West Wall of Chamber A4 in the 6th dynasty mastaba tomb of Mereruka, at Saqqara, Egypt. Here village headmen are being tied to a whipping post and flogged for non-payment of taxes. The panel as captured is 2.0 m x 0.45 m in size.
