Tomb of Mereruka, Chamber A4, West Wall

Relief scene of the punishment of individuals on the West Wall of Chamber A4 in the 6th dynasty mastaba tomb of Mereruka, at Saqqara, Egypt. Here village headmen are being tied to a whipping post and flogged for non-payment of taxes. The panel as captured is 2.0 m x 0.45 m in size. Created from 50 photos (Canon EOS Rebel T5i, 18MP) using Metashape Professional 1.6.1. It was photographed in March 2019. Model is scaled to units in meters.
