This stone his pleaced hear in memory of J[am]es GRAY, who lived some teime in this Parish of Urquhart and deperted this life October 27 1745, being the 70fifth year of his age, of which he professed Christianary for the space of fiftie six years of his forsayd [life]. his works going equal with his profession, charitable in disposition, his good exortations serius and in season temperal as to his maner of life. Estemed by all his aquantenc that loved Godlyness and dispayled by the beasest sort. His erthly tabernacle rests interd in this dust till the coming of Christ only for his merit and sufering he hoped to be reased again to be united to his soul.
