Asset Overview

I inherited this figurine from my grandmother. This type of figurine was a common funerary gift in Ancient Egypt. They're known as ushabti, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ushabti Its provenance is unknown, but my grandfather bought it from an antiquities dealer in Tunisia about 50 years ago. I doubt it's authentic, but ushabti were sometimes present also in Punic/Carthaginian burials - the Carthaginians were quite influenced by Egyptian religion and magic - and so there is a chance it could have been found in Tunisia.
