Vanguard Exploration Project Structure XII: Pharosprosium Refinery The discovery of Pharosprosium, a rare, radioactive element, spurred innovative leaps in science and technology; chief among these discoveries was the economic and efficient production of electric power from a relatively small amount of "alt-matter", the hazardous, yet life-sustaining result of Pharosprosium refinement. The source element is found in some of the most dangerous interstellar locations, then transported back to a settlement, where it is processed through a series of hot and cold electro-chemical steps within a Refinery. Once the "Alt-matter" is formed, it can be used as a catalyst in a Nuclear Power Plant, generate power for a Mobile Missile Defense Bastion, or even facilitate interstellar travel.
