Replica of a tall, cylindrical Ulúa style marble vase dating from the Late Classic Period (650-800 CE). Cream colored. Two lug handles on opposite sides of upper half of vessel depicting felines. Handles are identifical and not mirrored. Worn around rim with one large chip and many repaired breaks. Inside of vessel is smooth. Outside is decorated with Mesoamerican iconography of scrolls and zoomorphic heads representing sacred caves and mountains. Ring base with geometric indentations modeled to resemble cut-outs on original. "0204" is pressed into the bottom of the vessel. Original vessel is object NA5526 at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, carved marble from Ulua Valley in Honduras.
