This is a traditionally hand-carved sandstone representation of a waterwheel, with loose celtic knotwork border representing water and a 'kelpie' (mythical Scottish water beast) emerging from the bottom right. The carving is made on a piece of stone salvaged from the structure of an old water mill in Alva, Clackmannanshire - formerly owned by a friend's mother and is now built into a gatepost on the site. The carving was undertaken as a gift.
I originally processed the photogrammetry for the model in 123D Catch which gave poor results. This version from MetaShape using the original photography is significantly sharper and more accurate, undertaken as an experiment.
