A complete copper alloy quadruple seal matrix of Post medieval dating (c. 17th Century AD).
The seal matrix is cruciform in shape, with a central suspension loop. This has an internal diameter of 6.7 mm. Four undecorated arms extend from this central loop, each starting with a low-relief collar and flaring out to an oval die. The oval die are 11.5 mm long by 10.1 mm wide. Each die is abraded. Each die is engraved with a different motif: A heart pierced by two arrows in saltire; a cross design with potential letters in each quadrant; either a spider or a two headed eight legged beast with a tail; the Pelican in her piety.
