Asset Overview

A complete silver finger ring of late medieval dating (AD 1400 to AD 1600). The finger ring has a D shaped hoop, and an applied bezel. The hoop has been made from a length of D sectioned metal, formed into a circular shape, and soldered onto the reverse of the bezel. Both ends of the hoop are visible on the reverse. The bezel consists of a central heart with two quatrefoil shaped flowers, one to either side, attached by two curved branches. The curved branches project from the top of the heart, between the lobes.
