Asset Overview
A complete lead alloy line weight or bead of probable Post Medieval dating (AD 1600 to AD 1800).
The probable line weight is rectangular in shape, with a square cross section. A hole appears to run through the length of the weight, this is mostly infilled with soil at time of recording. One face has been decorated with two raised crosses or Xs. The next face has a raised pellet in the centre. The next face has a horizonital groove. The final face has an unclear design, it appears to have a saltire style cross on one end. But it also exhibits a post depositional scar, probably struck by the plough.
