XPM-098. Hafted End Blade, Rhyolite. Sapsuk River, Alaska SR08-01-TT4-U2-L4 CAT# 492 XPM-098. Large hafted basalt biface from Trench 1 Unit 3 Level 2, catalog number 461. Biface exhibits grinding on lower third of blade. The only common parallels in the region are Chirikof Island. Dates 3200-2600 BCE. Biface-A Sapsuk River, Nelson Lagoon area, Alaska Peninsula, Alaska. Several salmon fishing sites. Early period dating 3200-2100 BCE, and a later occupation 100 BCE to 500 CE.
