This is a 3D scan + digitally repair 1967 Buick Special tail light. The original was badly damaged but with a little Meshmixer love, we got it back together. This file is available for free for anyone to use.



To print, we used PETG and split the unit into three pieces. Print vertically as shown below. Part 2 (middle) should be printed hollow (0% infill) and with 2 shells. Otherwise, use at your own risk. PETG should be able to withstand the abuse of weather + the road. Keyword is "should" as 3D printed parts perform differently compared to injected or molded originals. Material property alone can't determine long term viability. Enjoy!
