Airframe eXperimental OIS-583 "Lunar Cadence"

Designed to fulfill an especially niche role in the Octavarian Aeronavy, the AX class is a small ship, not large enough to be a capital ship but not small enough to be a fighter, nor spacious enough to be a transport of any kind. Measuring at 40 meters in wingspan and only slightly less from bow to stern, and crewing only four comfortably, its duties were varied but all highly specified, depending on the branch of deployment. Used as a personal transport for Daemon troopers, Deep Range Scouts for the Intelligence Branch, Heavy Fighters or Bombers by the Aeronavy, and Gunships by the Marines, the ship was incredibly quick and maneuverable, as well as slightly customizable. One aspect kept as a secret from all branches was the ships ability to survive in low planetary orbit, allowing deep- penetration of hostile airspace and evasion from enemy airframes at altitudes nearly no other nation could hope for.
