An-14 Pchelka (NATO codification: Clod — "Chunk") — Soviet light transport aircraft intended to replace the An-2 first flew in March 14, 1958. The aircraft had the possibility of short takeoff and landing and was designed for operation from unprepared ground sites.
An-14 is equipped with two piston radial engines Ivchenko AI-14RF. An-14 was very stable in flight and is available to pilots of average and low qualification after a few hours of training. Operated mainly Soviet air force as liaison aircraft.[source not specified 1348]
Serial production began in 1965, ended in 1972 the An-14 failed to replace the An-2 was built only 340 aircraft.
