Battering Ram 3D Model. RIGGED. ANIMATION is realistic swinging of the the center pole to make impact with a door or wall. A Battering Ram is a siege engine that originated in ancient times and designed to break open the masonry walls of fortifications or splinter their wooden gates. The Battering Ram is among the oldest used siege weapons and its history can be traced back to the ancient Assyrians whose images have been found using battering rams from about 9th century BC. Subsequently, it was used by Greeks and Romans as well as other people throughout the world. The design of Medieval Battering Ram could also serve as a bridge across a defensive moat or ditch! When a wall had been breached the ram could be used as an access route to the castle. No two rams were the same. They were designed to gain the maximum effect when attacking the defences of the castle. Model uses three materials. Battering Ram Body, Roof and Rope & Handles.
