The Convair B-36 Peacemaker is a heavy long-range strategic bomber used by the United States Air Force between 1949 and 1959. The B-36 is designed and developed in the 1940s by the Consolidated Aircraft Corporation, which will amalgamate with Vultee to give Convair. With a wingspan of over 70 meters and a maximum takeoff weight of over 140 tonnes for early versions, the B-36 is the largest piston engine aircraft to be mass produced. It is the first bomber designed specifically to carry nuclear bombs (Sources Wikipedia)
