Desolator-Class Cruiser - Star Wars Inspired

Desolator Class Cruiser was supposed to be a more powerful successor to the Arquitens Class Cruiser, filling the roles of a patrol vessel, communication ship or capital ship support. It was bigger (length of 460 meters), better shielded and better armed when compared to the Arquitens class. The Desolator Class was equipped with five quad turbolaser batteries, four dubble laser batteries, missile launchers, two front-mounted heavy single Kyber turbolasers and eight ion cannons. Because of that, the vessel was great to be used in a ship-to-ship combat even with ships of a larger size. The internal hangar bay could house up to three squadrons of TIE fighters. The ship was equipped with two primary and two secondary sublight engines. Prototypes of the Desolator Class were manufactured by the Kuat Drive Yards and served under the newly established Galactic Empire. Unfortunately, because of the Tarkin Doctrine those prototypes were the only ones produced, and were later replaced by its predecessors.
