Asset Overview
ED310 is a design of a high-speed electric multiple unit train presented under the banner of PKP Intercity (Polish national rail operator). The train is multisystem which means it can operate under different railway electrification systems. In a 8-car configuration, the total length is 222.95 meters. The train would be licensed for 300 km/h (190 mph), with a maximum speed of 350 km/h. New designing innovations were implemented to help optimize the aerodynamics, including full housing of the bogies and optimised end of the cars.
ED310's paint job was inspired by the existing Polish Express Intercity Premium trains (Alstom's EMU250 'Pendolino').
