Asset Overview
The electric trains of the ЭД9 ( ED9 ) series, starting with the ЭД9T ( ED9T ), were very similar to the SŽD series ЭД2 when they were built, only they were intended for operation under 25 kV alternating current 50 Hz. As of 2014, a total of 299 vehicles were built, from the series ЭД9Т ( ED9T ) 27 vehicles with the inventory numbers 0001–0027, from the series ЭД9M ( ED9M ) and series ЭД9MK ( ED9MK ) 239 vehicles with the inventory numbers 0028-0267, and from the series ЭД9Э ( ED9E) 32 vehicles with inventory numbers 0001–0032.
