The IJN Mogami was a Mogami-class heavy cruiser of the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War 2.
She was originally constructed as "light cruiser" (per Washington Naval Treaty) with five triple 6.1 inch gun turrets but later on "converted" to a heavy cruiser with five dual 8 inch gun turret.
From mid-1942 till early-1943 she underwent a major conversion to an aircraft cruiser to improve the fleet's reconnaissance capabilities.
She was sunk at the Battle of Leyte Gulf in October 1944.
This model is according to her heavy cruiser configuration.
