Asset Overview

Motorcycle of the company NSU with the designation NSU-D 201 ZD Pony from the year 1934. At the end of the war, shortly before the invasion of the Red Army, this motorcycle was walled in the basement of a house in Lower Austria to protect it from seizure by the Russians. During a renovation of the house, the motorcycle was discovered and is now located at a collector of historic vehicles. NSU was a German bicycle, motorcycle and automobile manufacturer, founded in 1873 in Riedlingen by Christian Schmidt and Heinrich Stoll and relocated to Neckarsulm in 1880. The name NSU, which was used from 1892 as a brand name or trademark, is a shorthand for the city name Neckarsulm. In the mid-1950s, NSU was the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the world in terms of quantities.
