Asset Overview
Railroad material created entirely in Substance Designer, using the SpecGloss PBR system.
I was feeling inspired looking at displacement map effects on artstation and decided to try my hand in making one of my own, this is the result. The material is entirely created in Designer using existing nodes. The gravel is the only portion that was a premade material (from Designer's library).
Meshes were created in Blender, unfortunately, these two meshes combined consists of a **LOT** of tris, to the point that blender almost crashed as I was trying to do tweaks. As it stands it does not seem like displacement maps would be superior to traditional hard modelling, at least for me.
