USSR gas canister

My uncle was a driver in a soviet army, and he used this 20 litters gas canister for refuel his vehicle. This canister was his little friend, his child which saved him a lot of times. Onec, during The First Pasterian War, his truck stoped in the middle of the greate battle field, he was crawling for 6 hours to the near gas station with this canister. And he made it, he could take the gas, all the pasta in his truck was saved and delivered. The next time 17 antipasterians surrounded him, and the canister was a shield for him, and he was like a gladiator in colosseum. Sometimes it could be a pillow. When he demobilized he took this canister with him.
