Asset Overview
In the early 1960s, an opportunity arose to export Polish scooters to the huge Indian market. On the basis of the experience of a roadtrip in India, work on the WFM Osa M52 model began. The most important change introduced to the Indian version in comparison to the previous one was the installation of a stronger S-3 engine and the addition of a supercharger to improve its cooling system. The new Osa was premiered at the International Poznań Fair in 1962, and all units produced that year went to the Indian market. From 1963, the M-52 model was also available on the domestic market. Attempts were made to continue the development of the M-52 design. This led to the prototype Osa M52a, the last development version of the Osa M52 scooter, which was developed between 1962-64 in the design bureau of the Warszawska Fabryka Motocykli (WFM).
