3D Jaw muscles of Paleosuchus palpebrosus

This 3D model of the partly terrestrial, predatory living Cuvier's Dwarf Caiman, *Paleosuchus palpebrosus* (FMNH 22817) from South America. Although crocodylians have markedly flatter skulls than their ancestors, *Paleosuchus* has a markedly more vertical skull than its living relatives and its temporal muscles are also rather vertcially oriented.
