Arthropleura trackway 1

These tracks were made by an Arthropleura, this was a giant centipede like creature which lived in the carboniferous period. The rocks in this area date to around 335 million years. Crail beach has a number of in situ fossils including fossil tree sections, a large stump and other smaller sections of roots and bark.
