This afternoon I spent a few hours to design, model, rig, animate and texture this DONUT character in Blender. The whole thing was spontaneous.
At first I want to make this really realistic, but I decided to keep it stylized. The final design is of course for Apple AR / USDZ.
Concept 10-15 minutes sketching
Modeling - Sculpting 30 minutes
Rigging Animation 2 hours
Texturing and PBR Shader 30 minutes
AR USDZ Processing and Remix 30 minutes
FACT: I never actually watch Blender Guru's Donut Tutorial!
