The creature also envenoms the spike on its tongue by dipping it in poison, to deliver the finishing blow and then drag the victim into its mouth. The poison must be moved around its body regularly, whether its the mouth, pouch or stomatch, as it can cause the same effects. The flexible tongue is held above the poison when possible.*
