Thirty years ago, I received a beckoning cat as a wedding gift. In the Kanto region, it is a symbol of prosperity, so it was not supposed to be a wedding gift. All the attendees left with it, tilting their heads. It even became a topic of conversation later on. It smelled of metal. When you turn it upside down, you can hear the sound and feel the vibration of the coins moving inside the cat. It is heavier than it looks, but it is heavy enough for an adult to hold in one hand. Only the eyelids and the sides of the face are smooth, the rest of the body is rougher than I expected and not as chilly as I expected. 30年前、結婚式の引出物としてもらった招き猫。 関東では商売繁盛の象徴だから、結婚式の引出物になることはありえないものである。出席者はみんな、首を傾げながらこれをもらって帰った。後日話題になったほどである。金属の匂いがする。 逆さまにすると音がして、小銭が猫の中を移動していく振動が伝わってくる。見た目よりはずっしりしているが、大人が片手でも持てる重さ。まぶたと顔の側面だけスベスベしていて、ほかは思ったよりザラザラしているし、思ったよりもヒンヤリしない。
