This small patch of raised seagrass in the Bahía de la Tejita was monitored on several occasions by observing how the cyanobacterium "Lymbia" could be the reason for the retreat. There are hypotheses that this cyanobateria could "suffocate" the sebadal by positioning itself on it and preventing the absorption of sunlight.
