This is a 3D laser scan of the lower jaw of the holotype specimen of *Mylodon darwinii*. The jaw was collected in 1832 at Punta Alta in Argentina by Charles Darwin and is between 126,000 and 11,700 years old. It is part of the Earth Sciences collection at the Natural History Museum, London. This has been scanned as part of the Museum’s Darwin Fossil Mammals digitisation project.
