A scan of a common styginid trilobite from the Devonian sediments of Morocco.. Early on in paleohistory these trilobites were restricted to Gondwana but later on as the barrier between Gondwana and Laurasia was reduced due to tectonic forces it managed ro migrate to the epicontinental regions of the later the where fossil remains of new species where also found in Spain in late Emsian sediments.. Members of the genus became extinct some 390 million years ago during the lower part of the Middle Devonian. The original fossil is owned and part of the exhibit of the Eternal River Museum of Natural History. For those who wish to make a 3d printed copy, the length of the actual trilobite body is 7 centimeters.
