The Porcupine Monster is a multilayered model, based on a reduced poly mesh with high quality texturing and depth map. It is animated to demonstrate its multi joint articulation. The model has two texture maps, one based on a monitor lizard and another taking ideas from jeff Koon sculptures. It has large claws and spines. The animations include are walk, attack and idle. The model would fit into a fantasy fiction game and the model is rigged for animation.
The mesh is built in Maya and designed specifically for use in Unity. It is 24065 vertices but looks more complex due to its normal mapping.
