Ceramic bowl from the Egyptian Predynastic depicting four hippopotomi. This type of ceramic is referred to as cross-white lined or C-ware and dates to the Naqada I-early Naqada II period. This specific vessel dates to the Naqada I and is 15 cm in diameter.
