Sea Biscuit
The sea biscuit, or *Clypeaster reticulatus*, is an irregular sea urchin. Their hard shells are round and with modified spines used for locomotion rather than defense like their urchin relatives. Sea biscuits are oval shaped, giving them bilateral symmetry. In these urchins, the upper surface of the body is slightly domed, but the underside is flat, while the sides are devoid of tube feet. They feed primarily on algae but also eat slow-moving or sessile animals. Their predators include sea otters, starfish, wolf eels, triggerfish and humans.
