A [medieval](http://n2t.net/ark:/99152/p08m57h8zmq) [seal](http://vocab.getty.edu/page/aat/300028877) matrix in bronze gilt, pointed oval in shape. The front has the image of a standing bishop with three [fleur-de-lis](http://vocab.getty.edu/page/aat/300009966) on each side and a crown beneath. There is an [inscription](http://vocab.getty.edu/page/aat/300028702) around the edge which reads: S LUDOVICUS REX FRANCIE ORO MINORUM.
