The Fire Whisperer

A result of wanting to test out Blender upon downloading, this model was made mostly with the use of the sculpting feature in Blender. Being that this was mostly to test the features of Blender's sculpt tool, I opted out of any sort of texture work for this one. The design itself is of one of many creature concepts of my own making. This one, as the name implies, are sightless creatures that reside in caves in large groups. If they feel the warm touch of lamplight, their incessant mutterings will rise in octave, and the flames within the lamp will grow severe until it burns itself out, allowing the creature to tear apart the intruder in the darkness. Its design is meant to be a sort of horribly distorted humanoid form. It's overly stretched puckered lip of a face was largely inspired by the designs of the ghosts in Beetlejuice.
