Period/Epoch: Cenozoic / Eocene Rock Formation: Bridger Fm. State: Wyoming Taxonomy: Mammalia>Perissodactyla>Brontotheriidae>Palaeosyops sp. Palaeosyops is an extinct genus of brontothere, which is closely related to and resembles rhinoceroses. This animal was the size of large cattle and could weigh between 600 and 800 kg (1322 lb-1764 lb). This is the skull, including some teeth (P1-M3), of the animal. Scanned with the David SLS-2
