Boavus idelmani was a species of snake from the Eocene of North America. Boavus idelmani is closely related to modern boas, pythons, and constricting snakes. These snakes do not use venom, but rather use muscle constriction to immobilize their prey. This specimen is a complete skeleton of the animal.
