Civil War Case Shot

This case shot was recovered on the [Natural Bridge Battlefield Historic State Park](https://www.floridastateparks.org/park/Natural-Bridge) during an archaeological survey in 2015. The large fragments and the presence of the fuse tells us that this shell broke up before it exploded. These three pieces were found in a line pointing to where historic documents say the Confederate artillery was located.
