Asset Overview

I designed the case in Autodesk Fusion 360. The “shelf” about halfway up the inside of the case is where the keyboard plate will sit. The shelf is oddly-shaped because it can only support the plate in places where there are no key switches (otherwise the assembled plate/switches/PCB structure couldn’t fit inside the case), but if it didn’t take advantage of gaps in the switches (which is what creates the toothy structure) it might not be strong enough to hold the plate while my fingers are constantly hitting it. In addition, the “chimney” at the back of the case, extending from the top of the USB hole, is necessary because the USB port on the PCB extends around 3cm past the edge of the plate, so without the chimney for it to slide in there would be no way of getting the PCB and plate to the bottom of the case.
